KeepSafe is an additional fingerprint enabled software application purchased from AuthenTec Store. It is not preinstalled on the computer with HP SimplePass.

KeepSafe allows you to encrypt your files in a protected folder. The folder can be shown on your Desktop or in Computer. This folder will not be visible for other users sharing the computer.

When the KeepSafe folder is unlocked, you can work with it as with a standard folder (delete, copy, or rename files, etc.). Just drag n' drop your pictures, personal files, and folders into the Safe icon on your desktop. Swipe your finger to lock or unlock your files so only you can access them. It's that simple!

! NOTE: HP SimplePass stores its important information (including KeepSafe information) in an encrypted structure called Identity. If the Identity data are lost, there is no more the possibility to unlock the encrypted archives using the fingerprint, because the newly created Identity with re-enrolled fingers does not contain the original unlock information required. Therefore keeping a backup of your Identity on a safe place is highly recommended
