MySafe to FileSafe conversion

Protector Suite 5.6 and newer does not have MySafe feature, but have FileSafe instead. FileSafe is more flexible and gives you more functionality…

During the installation of the new version of Protector Suite, there should be MySafe to FileSafe conversion wizard. The wizard guides you through the process  and asks for a directory where should be MySafe converted to. After the conversion is finished, you can find *.uea in that directory. Right-click on this file and select UNLOCK…

If there was no conversion wizard during installation, please check, that there is MySafe.fdp file on your hard disk (please note, that after successful conversion, "My Safe.fdp" is renamed to "My Safe.fdp.1").

Usually you can find MySafe.fdp file in your profile:
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and settings\[username]\Application Data\Protector Suite\My Safe.fdp
Windows Vista, Windows 7:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Protector Suite\My Safe.fdp

If the file is there, you can run conversion wizard manually:
C:\Program Files\Protector Suite\ms2fs.exe

Please note, that the conversion tool is available only for 32bit operating systems!print
