Read/write access to file was denied


Symptoms:
Archive file was not opened. Read/write access to file was denied.
Cannot open file 'F:\LockedDocs.uea'
Code 5 Access is denied.

Resolution:
FileSafe requires full read/write access to the file.

1) Check the access rights to this file. Right-click the file -> Properties -> Security tab. If the security tab is not present, it means that you aren't using NTFS file system and you can continue to step 2).

2) Check the file attributes. Right-click the *.uea archive -> Properties -> General tab. Read-only attribute should be unchecked.

3) Isn't the FileSafe archive located on some read-only media (CD/DVD/Blue-Ray disc)? Some network share with read-only access?print
