I upgraded directly from Windows XP to Windows 7 and now features such as password replacement and file lock are no longer available.

The FMA downloaded by Windows Update is provided to allow a user solely the ability to logon to windows using their fingerprint sensor. 

An FMA is microsoft language for Fingerprint Management Application, or in short Fingerprint Software.

To regain the features provided by your legacy application you will need to contact your notebook vendor and request Fingerprint software supporting Windows 7. 

In the event your notebook vendor is not supporting Windows 7 - there are a few third party software vendors who develop and sell software for our sensors which can be used on Windows 7.  Please check with them to ensure the version you are purchasing supports Windows 7.
